English Lake district ridge view.

Here is an old watercolour sketch showing, from the left Green Gable and Great Gable looking from Haystacks. This was to be a reference sketch for some later work, still yet to do. I remember it was one of a series I was doing when staying in beautiful Seatoller. I would carry everything to the tops, looking for views to paint. This sketch was half imperial, that is 22 inches by 15 inches. The colours are loosely applied, not well reproduced here, and look a little light in saturation. It needs more work to finish it if I want to keep it.
